Registration Information

The 2024 festival will be held at the Holy Trinity Cathedral, Parnell from the 12th to the 16th August. The gala concerts will be held at 2pm and 6:30pm on Saturday 17th August.

  1. Please ensure you have read and understood the festival rules.

  2. This year’s entry fee is $200 excl. GST ($230 incl. GST) per group, and includes professional photographs made available to schools.

  3. The three entry levels in the festival are:

    1. Competitive – you are eligible for awards by meeting basic instrumentation and player age requirements.

    2. Non Competitive – you would like to participate in the main festival and receive an adjudication sheet, but may not meet the competitive requirements.

    3. Non Competitive + Play-In – you would like to participate in the main festival and receive an adjudication sheet, but may not meet the competitive requirements, and you would like to participate in a group play-in at the end of your session. The repertoire for 2024 is ‘Field Day’ by Chris M. Bernotas (gd 2) for symphony orchestras, and ‘Cataclysm’ by Robert Sheldon (gd 2) for concert bands. Groups in these sessions could also opt to include their own performance of the ‘play-in’ piece as part of their individual recital.

  5. Your preferred performance times serve as a guide to scheduling, we cannot guarantee your times as category sizes vary every year.

  6. When you submit the following form you will get a copy by email. If you don’t, or if you notice an error, please contact Warwick Robinson.

Step One

Submit your registration form by 5pm Thursday 6th June.

Step Two

Submit your repertoire and payment by 5pm Thursday 20th June.

Step Three

Download and prepare your stage plan(s) in time for the festival.

Payment

  • You will receive an invoice within one week. Complete payment as listed above to finalise your entry.

  • Please ensure that your accounts staff direct this payment to the KBB Music Festival, and not the KBB Music store.
